Senior High Camps

Counselor in Training (CIT)

Have you ever dreamed of being a summer camp counselor and working for Christ? If so, CIT camp is the answer to your calling. CIT camp is for high school students who are at least fifteen years of age or entering their sophomore year of high school. During training CITs will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a counselor, how to work with other staff members, and how to use the outdoor camp setting to share their faith with others. Upon approval CITs will be able to assist an adult counselor during subsequent camps. Campers wishing to attend CIT camp should be prepared for an intensive, fun-filled program.

Outpost Camp

Outpost camp provides campers with a challenging outdoor living experience, along with learning about God’s strength. Here campers will be introduced to basic camp craft skills such as rustic food preparation, fire building, and team work. Through theses new challenges counselors will stress to campers how we can rely on God’s strength for help at all times. Campers will also have the opportunity to have fun in a multitude of activities, such as nature hikes, swimming, crafts, group games, and more! Combined with a great learning experience about the outdoors campers can learn how God’s strength can impact our lives.

Sports Camp

Sports camp is a great opportunity to see how God calls us to act in our daily lives and when we participate in sports. Campers will choose from an assortment of sports to participate in, including soccer, tennis, swimming, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more! Other group activities will also be played throughout the duration of the week. Through these activities, reading of scripture, discussion groups, and worship campers will learn how to live for God. We hope to send campers away with life lessons and the ability to apply them with their peers and when they are playing sports.

Dramatic Arts Camp

Dramatic Arts campers will participate in a variety of activities that will give them experience both on and off stage, just like God’s word can prepare us for all stages of life. This program will provide campers with knowledge that they can take back to their local church/drama group and apply on a practical basis. Activities include acting, clowning, set construction, lighting, and prop construction. Through the activities of worship, group discussion, and scripture, campers will also get an opportunity to learn how they can use God’s word throughout their lives. During the week, campers will prepare a short one-act play, which will culminate in a Friday night performance. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. Dramatic arts camp combines three programs designed for different age levels that take place during the same week of camp. We hope to send campers away with skills in performing as well as knowledge of the importance of God’s world in their lives.
